The Office of Climate Resiliency was formed in 2021 after the County of Lake received a grant from the California Office of Emergency Services to fund the staff position of Chief Climate Resiliency Officer. The Office of Climate Resiliency is part of the Administration Department for the County.
The intent of this office is to focus full-time on the development of a comprehensive local resilience strategy, interlinking ecology and resilience, work with a broad spectrum of collaborators to identify challenges and capabilities, while making plans to address the gaps between the two.
