Area Agency on Aging of Lake & Mendocino Counties

The Area Agency on Aging of Lake and Mendocino Counties plans, coordinates and implements the development of, and access to, community-based support services for seniors and their caregivers, allowing older individuals 60 years of age or older to maintain their dignity and quality of life, and stay safe and independent in their own homes and communities.

Assessor - Recorder

The Assessor-Recorder and staff strive to give quality service, provide accurate information, maintain and preserve Lake County's public records, and make fair and equitable assessments of property through our personal commitment to integrity, mutual respect, and teamwork.

Auditor-Controller

The Auditor-Controller is the chief financial officer for the County of Lake providing accounting, auditing and financial services to all County departments, Special Districts, the Lake County Office of Education, Special Districts under local boards (Water, Cemetery, Fire, Reclamation), the Lake County Redevelopment Agency, and all other agencies whose funds are deposited in the County Treasury.

Code Enforcement

The Code Enforcement Program is operated by the Community Development Department and was created to ensure that Lake County residents abide by the established Codes and Ordinances and have equal opportunities to create a safe, healthy, satisfying life while enjoying the spectacular natural beauty our county offers.

Community Development

The primary purpose of the Community Development Department is to provide guidance and coordination for all land planning and development activities throughout the unincorporated portions of Lake County.

The Lake County Sheriff's Office of Emergency Services (“Lake County OES”, "Sheriff's OES" or “OES”) is the lead agency for local emergency management for the County of Lake as defined by the Lake County Board of Supervisors (BOS) in Chapter 6, Article I of the Lake County Code.
